Holistic Sexology

Body-led, trauma-informed sessions for desire, pleasure, intimacy,
sexuality and connection.

Holistic Sexology offers a space to better understand your sexual experience through both education and the lived experience of your body.

You might be exploring changes in desire, difficulty accessing pleasure, feeling disconnected from your body or pelvis, uncertainty around arousal, intimacy or communication, or simply wanting a deeper understanding of how your sexuality works.

Sessions are spacious and unhurried, with room for conversation, nervous system awareness, body literacy, somatic practices, erotic embodiment and Integrative Pelvic Care.

Your desire has changed and you’re not sure why.

You feel disconnected from your body, pelvis or sexuality.

Sex feels pressured, difficult to stay present for, or simply different than it used to.

You want more pleasure, sensation or arousal, but don’t know where to begin.

You find it difficult to identify what you want, ask for it, or communicate boundaries.

Your body seems to respond differently than your mind expects.

You’re navigating changes in intimacy, relationships, ageing, postpartum life or another transition.

You want to better understand arousal, anatomy, nervous system patterns or how pleasure actually works.

Or maybe nothing feels particularly wrong.

You’re simply curious about what more connection, pleasure or understanding could feel like.

You might be here because...

What we can work with

Holistic Sexology brings together education and the lived experience of your body.

Depending on what’s present for you, sessions may explore:

Desire & arousal

Exploring how desire and arousal actually work, including what supports them, what can interrupt them, and how context, stress, relationships and your nervous system can shape your experience. We can also look at the difference between wanting, arousal and pleasure, and build a clearer understanding of your own patterns rather than comparing yourself to how you think sexuality should work.

Pleasure & sensation

Developing more awareness of what you can feel, what you enjoy, and how your body responds to different kinds of sensation. This might include slowing down, noticing subtle changes, expanding your sensory awareness and learning to recognise pleasure before automatically moving past it.

Nervous system patterns

Exploring how your nervous system responds to stress, intimacy, arousal and connection. We can work with noticing the state you’re in, recognising the cues your body gives you, and learning practical ways to support a shift when you feel activated, shut down or disconnected.
Over time, this can help build greater nervous system flexibility and resilience, so you have more capacity to move between states, return to regulation and stay connected to yourself during intimacy and sexual experiences.

Body literacy & anatomy

Understanding your own anatomy can be a powerful part of feeling more informed, connected and confident in your body.We can explore the structures of the vulva, clitoris, vagina, pelvis and arousal system, along with how your body responds to touch, pleasure and stimulation. This can help you make more sense of your own experience, communicate more clearly about what feels good, and bring greater understanding into both self-pleasure and shared intimacy.

Intimacy & communication

Exploring how you communicate wants, needs, boundaries and preferences in intimate relationships. This can include learning how to ask for what feels good, say no or not yet, navigate differences in desire, and create more room for curiosity and honest conversation around sex and intimacy.

Erotic embodiment

Exploring what it means to experience your sexuality from within your body, rather than relating to the body as something separate from you or something to observe from the outside.

Erotic embodiment is about being in the body as you experience pleasure, desire, sensation and arousal. The focus is on closing the gap between mind and body, so your experience can feel more lived, present and connected rather than primarily thought about, analysed or performed.

Somatic & embodied processes

Somatic and embodied processes are practical ways of working with what is happening in your body in the moment, rather than only talking about an experience.

This might include noticing breath, sensation, muscle tension, movement, impulses, temperature, numbness or activation. We may also use practices such as guided breathing, movement, grounding, sound, body awareness, visualisation or self-touch.

These processes can help you recognise patterns, understand how your body responds, and develop more awareness and choice in how you meet what is happening.

Each session can then build from what you’ve noticed, what has shifted, what still feels unclear, or what you’re curious to explore next.
